onsemi, a Fortune 500 semiconductor company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is expanding into Central New York. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced the company’s plan to invest nearly $120 million in the former NextGen fab facility in DeWitt, creating 80 new IT jobs.
The project will roll out in two phases: research and development, followed by manufacturing. McMahon called the investment a key addition to the region’s growing semiconductor industry.
