Onondaga County residents could see delays in their trash pick-up due to the temporary closure of the Rock Cut Road Transfer Station where haulers drop off the material.

The Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency says a mechanical issue has paused operation of the Waste-to-Energy plant that processes the trash.

The delay is impacting both municipal and private haulers. The facility is expected to re-open by May 1.
