Mannion criticizes Trump's trade policy

Congressman John Mannion is currently serving in the 119th Congress as the Representative of the 22nd district of New York.

While Republicans are praising President Donald Trump’s first 100 days, Democrats are not. Central New York Congress member John Mannion says Trump’s trade policy has been particularly damaging.

“Tariffs should be used with precision and purpose, but not as blunt political instruments,” Mannion said.

Mannion emphasized that it’s time for Congress to reassert its constitutional authority rather than continue giving it to the executive branch. He believes tariff policy is a good place to start.
