National Grid has the green light to move forward with $126 million worth of infrastructure projects aimed at expanding energy availability across its service area.

The state Public Service Commission approved nearly two dozen projects, including mobile energy storage devices for high-power charging stations along the New York State Thruway and upgrades to support building and vehicle electrification.

The investment is the second largest in the state, behind only Con Edison, which serves New York City and its suburbs.
