Early voting turnout for next week’s primary election in Onondaga County has doubled compared to four years ago, driven by a competitive mayoral race.
Onondaga County Democratic Elections Commissioner Dustin Czarny noted that after six days of early voting, 1,033 people have cast ballots, up from 685 in 2023 and 534 in 2021.
Polls are open at five early voting sites until 6 p.m. Friday, June 20 and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The primary election is on Tuesday.
