U.S. attorney allegedly chased by knife-wielding immigrant in Albany

U.S. Attorney John Sarcone was allegedly chased by a knife-wielding illegal immigrant in Albany June 17.

U.S. Attorney John Sarcone was allegedly chased by a knife-wielding illegal immigrant in Albany Tuesday night.

Sarcone, a Republican appointed by President Donald Trump to oversee Northern New York, including Syracuse, said Saul Morales-Garcia lunged at him as he was leaving his office and chased him to a hotel lobby.

Sarcone called Albany County authorities, who eventually arrested Morales-Garcia. Morales-Garcia faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder.
