Residents who jog or walk their dog in Syracuse’s Pass Arboretum near Tipperary Hill will see improvements starting later this month.
Most of the work involves the park’s tree canopy. Crews are removing dozens of dead, invasive, or unsafe trees, and pruning numerous others; they’ll be planting 70 new trees this fall.
Other improvements include accessibility and safety upgrades to the walking trails and replacing the chain link to match the ornamental fence around the rest of the park.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Pass Arboretum.
