Destiny USA is filling one of its large vacant spaces with a nationally known tenant — IKEA.

Pyramid Companies CEO Steven Congel called it one of the most exciting announcements in the company’s history. The Swedish retailer will move into the former At Home location, bringing with it a full IKEA experience, including furniture, a design area, and a food section.

IKEA Market Manager Scott Kay, a Syracuse University alum, said he has fond memories of his time in the city and is excited to bring the brand to Central New York.

Mayor Ben Walsh also welcomed the news, saying IKEA represents renewed investment in Destiny USA and supports broader lakefront development plans.
