Pops in the Park concert series brings free live music to Syracuse neighborhoods

The Pops in the Park summer concert series brings free live music to Syracuse parks every Monday through Wednesday in July.

A concert series continues, giving residents a chance to enjoy live music in Syracuse parks throughout July. The Pops in the Park series brings local musicians to various parks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.

The Fab Cats will perform at Upper Onondaga Park on Tuesday, July 8. Other featured acts this season include Menage à Soul, Dani Mitchell, Causeway Giants, and the trumpet group Trump Tight 315. Concerts run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Mondays

  • July 7 & July 21 – Meachem Park

  • July 14 & July 28 – Barry Park
    • Causeway Giants

Tuesdays

  • July 8, 15, 22, 29 – Upper Onondaga Park

    • Menage A Soul (July 15 and July 22)

Wednesdays

  • July 9 & July 23 – Kirk Park
    • Menage A Soul
    • Dani Mitchel
  • July 16 – Washington Square Park

Performances will also take place at Meachem, Barry, Kirk, and Washington Square Parks. In case of inclement weather, cancellations will be announced by 3 p.m. the day of the concert. A full schedule is available at syr.gov/pops2025

Chris Bolt, Ed.D. has proudly been covering the Central New York community and mentoring students for more than 30 years. His career in public media started as a student volunteer, then as a reporter/producer. He has been the news director for WAER since 1995. Dedicated to keeping local news coverage alive, Chris also has a passion for education, having trained, mentored and provided a platform for growth to more than a thousand students. Career highlights include having work appear on NPR, CBS, ABC and other news networks, winning numerous local and state journalism awards.
