A new solar energy project has been approved in Madison County. The Oxbow Hill Solar project in the town of Fenner will create enough electricity to power about 23,000 homes.

New York renewable energy officials have approved a solar energy project in Madison County. The Oxbow Hill Solar project in Fenner is projected to contribute enough electricity for 23,000 average sized homes.

It’s also expected to create 330 construction jobs and tax revenue for the area. It will be built within a wind farm. New York has approved 28 large scale solar and wind projects since 2021.

Murrow awards and 5 Public Media Journalists Association awards for reporting. He also won 11 PMJA awards for the news and public affairs program Open Spaces.
