A food pantry serving Phoenix-area families has earned national recognition for its transparency and commitment to its mission. Erin’s Angels received the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, a group that tracks data on nonprofits.
The pantry was named in honor of 11-year-old Erin Maxwell, who died in Oswego County after often going without food. The organization now provides nutrition support to children in her memory.
Founder and Executive Director Sheila Dion says the award shows the pantry is open about its work and fully dedicated to feeding Central New York’s future.
