June home sales rose nearly 9% as inventory and prices continued to climb.

More Central New Yorkers were able to sell their homes last month compared to the same time last year. New data from the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors shows closed home sales rose 8.6% in June.

One factor may be the number of homes on the market, which jumped 52% over last year. The median home price also continued to rise, reaching $250,000—up 4.2% from June 2024.
