Onondaga County will spray the Cicero Swamp next week after mosquitos in the area tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitus and West Nile Virus. The County Health Department said the mosquitoes were found in traps set this week on Island and Taft Roads. Spraying begins Monday at 6 pm. The health department recommends residents close their windows and use personal protection measures if outside, such as wearing long sleeve shirts, pants, and using chemically safe insect repellent.
