The Town of Manlius town hall.

Manlius Town Board members said they will focus on better communication and public outreach after tabling a vote on a new $40 million town hall last week.

It would have placed town services, courts and Manlius police under one roof. But public feedback, leading into and during, last week’s meeting convinced the board not to vote and put the measure on the November ballot, until they build a coalition of support from impacted communities.

Members of the board say they are looking into how to better educate the public about the needs for a new facility including inviting citizens to get involved in the planning process.
