Sheriff’s department seizes numerous weapons from Syracuse home

Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies seized multiple illegal weapons from an Eastwood Syracuse home Tuesday. The cache included shotguns, handguns, an AK-47 rifle, switchblades, high calliber ammunition, and large dollar bills.

Two suspects face multiple felony charges after Onondaga County Sheriff’s deputies seized drugs and numerous illegal weapons from a Syracuse home.

Members of the sheriff’s special investigations unit used a search warrant to enter the property in Eastwood Tuesday where they found loaded shotguns, handguns, and an AK-47 model rifle.

They also seized numerous high-capacity magazines, other ammunition, illegal switchblade knives, and several ounces of cocaine.

Both 41-year-old Nicholas St. Andrews and 39-year-old Heather Grems face 40 felony drug and gun charges. They are held in the justice center without bail.
