A group of Syracuse residents wanted to know how our next mayor will work toward sustainability. In this special WAER News Election 21 presentation, we’ll hear from incumbent Mayor Ben Walsh, an independent, Democratic party nominee Khalid Bey and Republican, Syracuse United and Conservative candidate Janet Burman on how they would do just that.
The forum, How Do You Make a More Sustainable Syracuse?, held in front of a live and virtual audience, covered environmental, financial and community sustainability issues. You'll hear the vision and ideas of the candidates for shaping Syracuse’s future on these important topics. And perhaps, their thoughts and comments will encourage and inspire your vote for Syracuse’s next mayor.
Civic groups FOCUS Greater Syracuse, Greening USA, and CNY Solidarity organized the event. WAER News & Public Affairs Director Chris Bolt moderated the forum.
