A Jubilee will be held this weekend in Clay to rally support for the Burnet Road community.

Onondaga County has been acquiring property along the corridor in an effort to expand the 1,150 acre White Pine Commerce Park, which is adjacent to Burnet Road. The county has said it may eventually seize property using eminent domain if owners refuse to sell.

The county is trying to lure a microchip plant with a bigger plot of land. But the county has no confirmed tenant.

At the Jubilee, supporters of property owners hope to educate attendees on eminent domain and how it could impact Clay. There will also be food, music, games, and children’s activities. The event will be held Sunday at Meltzer Park from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
