John Mannion and Sarah Klee Hood are seeking the Democratic nomination for the 22nd Congressional district race.

Central New York Democrats are choosing who they feel is the best candidate to advance to the general election in New York’s 22nd congressional district. The primary between Sarah Klee Hood and John Mannion means only one of them will emerge to take on freshman incumbent Republican Brandon Williams. WAER’s politics reporter Scott Willis caught up with both candidates.

In the public interest, WAER offered each candidate the chance to state their campaign platform uninterrupted and answer several follow up questions. The audio file includes both interviews back to back, beginning with Sarah Klee Hood. John Mannion's interview begins at the 7:00 mark.

Early voting continues through the weekend at six locations from 9 to 5.
