The Onondaga County Water Authority said it has completed improvements aimed at preparing it to handle future demand as Micron comes on line. OCWA said it made $43 million in upgrades to its Lake Ontario Water Treatment Plant. The authority said the work modernized the facility, improving its safety and efficiency. Upgrades were needed after forecasts indicated Micron and connected businesses will double the area’s water usage.
