The Syracuse-area woman who went missing earlier this week has been found dead not far from where she was last seen. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office says Jacqueline Chiodo's body was located around noon in Onondaga Creek near Dorwin Ave. in Nedrow.
The sheriff's office says as of now no foul play is suspected. The official cause of death will be determined and released pending the completion of an autopsy.
The sheriff's department thanked the community for its assistance throughout the search effort.

Concern is growing for the plight of a missing woman last seen in the Nedrow area on Tuesday. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s office is asking residents in the area to check garages, sheds, barns, porches, and outbuildings where Jacqueline Chiodo may be seeking shelter. Deputies continue to search the area but say community assistance is critical.
Chiodo is described as 5'4",140 pounds with brown eyes and hair. She was last seen wearing green hospital pants and a purple coat after being discharged from Upstate Community Hospital. Anyone with information should call 911.
