Inducted in 2023A recognizable voice across some of the biggest stages in American sports, Andrew Catalon has become a fixture on CBS Sports broadcasts. Since joining the network full-time in 2013, he has called NFL games, NCAA men’s basketball, and PGA TOUR events, including The Masters since 2021. His play-by-play work also extends to the NCAA Tournament each March, the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, and the preseason television broadcasts of the Buffalo Bills.
Catalon’s versatility has carried him around the globe, working five Olympic Games for NBC Sports in sports ranging from tennis to curling and handball. He has also contributed to the Tennis Channel, SNY, and local television in Vermont and Albany, New York, before moving to the national spotlight.
A graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, Catalon began honing his craft at WAER, where he called football, basketball, and lacrosse. He credits his early experience at WAER for shaping his approach to broadcasting and laying the foundation for his career in national sports media.
