Geneanne Keegan-Smith

Geneanne Keegan-Smith is from Syracuse, graduated from Westhill High School and has a business administration degree from Onondaga Community College. She has worked for more than 30 years at the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets' Division of the State Fair, starting in 1993. She worked with vendors, state agencies, law enforcement and community groups on large public events and helped coordinate operations at the Expo Center's COVID-19 mass vaccination site. She is assistant event director and fundraising manager for The Baldwin Fund, which raises money for breast cancer research. She has held no prior elected office. She supports bringing a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center to Upstate Cancer Center. She cites her father, a World War II Army veteran, as a major inspiration to serve.
