George Hamilton '53 G'54

Inducted in 2019

Shortly after graduating from Syracuse University, George Hamilton was employed by King Hussein of Jordan as an adviser to the Hashemite Broadcasting Service. During his time in the Middle East, he taught both programming and engineering personnel in all phases of station operations.

Prior to his job with the Hashemite Broadcasting Service, Hamilton worked with the Rural Radio Network and the Robert Eastman Advertising Agency in Ithaca, NY for two years, then joined the statistical and accounting division of the Second U.S. Army, where he spent two more years.

Hamilton worked at WAER as a student volunteer during his time at Syracuse University.
