Julia Labbate is a first-year student at Syracuse University pursuing a unique dual focus in Television, Radio & Film and Geography. Her academic and creative journey is characterized by a remarkable blend of technical skill, artistic passion, and a commitment to storytelling through diverse media.

During her high school years, Julia distinguished herself as a multifaceted media professional. She conducted an innovative independent study, hosting a 10-week radio show on 90.5 WCVH that celebrated women in history, demonstrating her early interest in narrative and cultural storytelling. Her technical training included comprehensive courses in Radio Broadcasting and Television, where she developed proficiency in Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro.

As a Student Technician for Hunterdon Central Television, Julia honed her media production skills, taking on roles that included camera operation, live YouTube stream technical direction, and conducting sideline interviews with coaches and players. This experience showcased her versatility and comfort in dynamic media environments.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Julia is driven by a philosophy of persistent self-improvement. Her approach is exemplified by her dedication to personal challenges, from joining the varsity track team as a freshman with no prior experience to maintaining a consistent fitness regimen. Her interests extend to women's history, literature, and figure painting, reflecting a holistic approach to creativity and personal growth.
