Marv Albert is a legendary American sportscaster whose career has spanned more than five decades, making him one of the most recognizable voices in sports broadcasting. Best known for his work as the lead announcer for NBA games on NBC, TNT, and MSG Network, Albert has also called NFL games, the Olympics, and countless marquee sporting events. Renowned for his distinctive voice, sharp insight, and memorable catchphrases, he has become synonymous with professional basketball and sports coverage.

His last NFL broadcast for NBC was the 1997 Baltimore Ravens–New York Giants game alongside Randy Cross and WAER alumnus Len Berman.

A graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, Albert began his broadcasting journey at WAER, where he developed the foundational skills that propelled him to national prominence.
