Neil Smith

Neil Smith, 47, is from Manlius and has a communications degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from St. John's University School of Law. He is a bankruptcy attorney and partner at Mackenzie Hughes and a former president of the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association. He is vice president of Contact Community Services and a Salvation Army board member. He has held no previous elected office. His priorities include addressing the effects of Micron's construction on surrounding areas, attracting residential development to dense towns, increasing assistance to farmers affected by tariffs and adding transportation for elderly and disabled residents.
