What's holding up the adoption of more electric school buses in our school districts? Their clean, so no emissions that can be harmful to students' health or the environment. And New York State has a mandate to switch over to emission-free buses, along with financial incentives to help. But barriers - and push back - have so far slowed the progress.

On this episode of Deeper Shade of Green, Barry Carr, Executive Director of Clean Communities of Central New York, joins us to talk about the technology, the state mandate, and why districts should start the transition. He'll also delve a little deeper into the range of changes necessary to eventually make a district's whole fleet f buses clean and green.

The promise, the present and the future of electric buses ... and some of the technological and regulatory factors that could help shape their future.
