Programming Changes

In our continued effort to serve the Central New York community with quality reliable programming, we have a few upcoming changes to announce.

Changing Times

Starting on August 14th Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, will move to it's new time of Saturday's at 11am. Just one hour later, and the same great program you've grown to know and love.

Goodbye To An Old Friend

Saturday August 7th will be the final broadcast of Ask Me Another, on WAER. NPR is discontinuing production of AMA and while we are sad to see it go, we are excited about the hour of programming that will fill the void.

A Welcomed Addition

Beginning August 14th WAER is excited to bring you Code Switch and Life Kit Saturday's at 10am. Every week, listeners will hear stories about race and identity that expand their minds, and learn practical ways to make their lives better. It's lifelong learning that ranges from the big picture to tiny details and everything in between

The hour will start with Code Switch, featuring journalists of color tackling the subject of race head-on. Code Switch explores how race impacts every part of society -- from politics and pop culture to history, sports and more.

In the second part of the show, Life Kit offers tips and guidance on a wide range of topics. From workplace microaggressions to saving money and more, Life Kit talks with the experts to get the best advice out there. The topics will often revolve around race and identity, but will always be designed to help listeners get through life together.
