Barbara J. King is a contributor to the NPR blog 13.7: Cosmos & Culture. She is a Chancellor Professor of Anthropology at the College of William and Mary. Even if it looks like she keeps changing careers, she's always doing the same thing: telling stories that matter.

Mia Hernandez is a development assistant for WAER. Her duties include processing gifts, membership data and gift acknowledgements. She works closely with AEA on database retrievals, benchmarking efforts and WAER alumni event planning. Julianna also assists the underwriting department with their billing process.

She writes a column on vintage young-adult fiction for Jezebel.com, a job she has been preparing for her entire life. She is on the board of the National Book Critics Circle.
