Matt grew up in Port Washington, New York on Long Island. He creates print, radio, and television stories almost daily on a wide range of topics, including hard news, profiles, and sports. Matt hopes to pursue a career as either a reporter or producer of news.

Karl Winter is a graduate student studying broadcast and digital journalism at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications, expected to graduate in May 2023. As a multimedia reporter, Karl helps produce audio and digital content for WAER. Karl moved to Syracuse from Stockton, California, and attended undergraduate college at Pepperdine University in Malibu.

I am an undergraduate student studying broadcast journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, expected to graduate in 2025. I am involved in CitrusTV here at Syracuse, where I am a reality TV beat reporter on the show ‘Unpeeled’, and an entertainment correspondent for the show ‘Juice and Java’. I had an internship over the summer with Bonneville International, where I was the digital media intern for three major radio stations based out of my hometown of Denver, Colorado. I have had a passion for writing and connecting with people ever since I was a little girl, and I am honored to be getting an education at an institution that has such a high regard for honest and reputable journalism.

Isabel Flores is a graduate student studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. School of Public Communications, expected to graduate in May of 2023. As a multimedia reporter, she helps to present as well as produce audio and digital content for WAER. In her free time, Isabel enjoys working out and listening to all genres of music.
