How does Sustaining Membership work?

Sustaining Members provide a dependable base of support for the programs you count on. When you become a Monthly Sustainer, your donation is ongoing until you say otherwise. Your credit or debit card will automatically be billed each month. You’ll save time, money, and resources!

Benefits of a Sustaining Membership:

  • Your donation is charged to your credit or debit card each month.
  • You will receive a tax letter every January.
  • You are automatically entered into all pledge drive contests and drawings.
  • You are entitled to a thank you gift each year – just contact us annually to request a gift.
  • No renewal notices

Save WAER a little in processing fees and give directly through auto bank pay.  Just contact your bank to set up monthly checks.

To become a Sustaining Member follow these steps:

  1. Enter your sustaining Gift Amount
  2. Click on Sustaining Gift on the right so that the box turns “orange” (do not skip this step!)
  3. Enter your email address and confirm it
  4. Choose the WAER Membership button
  5. Proceed to fill in the rest of the information, including the CVV 3-digit security code for your credit card now required for security purposes.

1. How do I update or make changes to my Sustaining Membership?

Call Rebecca Slye, Budget Administrator, at 315-443-4834 if you have credit card or address changes.  If you wish to upgrade, simply start a new plan on our Donate page and in the Comment box ask us to please cancel your former plan.

2. How do I cancel or suspend my Sustaining Membership?

Call Rebecca Slye, Budget Administrator, at 315-443-4834 with your request, or use our contact form. Be sure to include your contact information and/or membership ID number with your request.

3. How do I update my contact information or check on the status of my account? 

To update your contact information or check on your membership status, please call Rebecca Slye at 315-443-4834 or use our contact form. Be sure to include your full name and/or membership number in the message. 

4. Is my gift to WAER tax-deductible?

Yes. Your gift your gift to WAER is fully tax-deductible, minus the fair market value of any thank you gifts requested.

You can enter all daily drawing by making an on-line donation at waer.org or by calling 315 443-3688

You do not have to make a donation to enter the drawing

All names for the final drawing, must be submitted by 3:30 pm on Friday, September 13, 2019
