1 of the 14 newest #VaxtoSchool locations is in Central New York at Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Syracuse. They’ll offer the Pfizer-BioNTech and Janssen/J&J vaccine this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As well as #VaxtoSchool buses, pop-up vaccination sites have also been introduced to provide access to the vaccine in convenient, youth and school-centric areas statewide.
After seven weeks, the state has hosted 146 #VaxtoSchool sites. The program is scheduled to run 12 weeks total. Over 64.2% of 12 to 15-year-olds and 73.6% of 16 to 25-year-olds have received at least one vaccine dose.
In order to keep New York’s schools open, healthy, and safe against COVID-19, New York’s parents and guardians have been encouraged to make sure their children are vaccinated. #VaxtoSchool sites were introduced to make access to the vaccine more accessible and convenient for New York’s adolescents.
