City Of Syracuse, Other Municipalities Distributing COVID-19 Tests and KN-95 Masks

A number of municipalities will be distributing COVID-19 tests this weekend, including the City of Syracuse.

Syracuse will give out its second round of at home COVID-19 test kits and KN-95 masks to the residents of 22 large senior, family and affordable housing communities in Syracuse, and at neighborhood community centers.

“As the Omicron variant continues to drive up cases, we are prioritizing getting these test kits out as quickly and efficiently as possible to vulnerable city residents who may have a difficult time accessing at-home test kits.” said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh.

Walk-up distribution of at home COVID-19 test kits will start on Monday at 10 a.m. at seven community centers:

  • Syracuse Northeast Community Center, 716 Hawley Ave. Syracuse, NY 13203
  • Westcott Community Center, 826 Euclid Ave. Syracuse, NY 13210
  • Syracuse Community Connections at Southwest Community Center, 401-425 South Ave. Syracuse, NY 13204
  • Huntington Family Center, 405 Gifford St. Syracuse, NY 13204
  • Syracuse Dunbar Center, 1453 S State St. Syracuse, NY 13205
  • La Liga: Spanish Action League – Onondaga700 Oswego St. Syracuse, NY 13204
  • Northside Learning Center, 501 Park St. Syracuse, NY 13203

All resident should come with their identification for proof of residency at time of pick up.

Other towns and villages will also be giving away supplies this weekend.

Fayetteville:

The Village of Fayetteville will provide free Drive-thru COVID-19 test kits on Saturday starting at 9 a.m at Immaculate Conception Church (300 Salt Springs Street, Fayetteville).

These supplies are only for Fayetteville residents and will be limited to 1 kit per car.

Baldwinsville:

A limited supply of COVID-19 test kits and masks will be available at the Baldwinsville Public Library Saturday for those who were at work during Friday's distribution.

Individuals can enter the community room and exit directly to the outdoors. The Library will provide 700 masks to the public.

Liverpool:

The Village of Liverpool will distribute one test kit per adult and 2 masks for each person at the Village Hall this Saturday from 9 a.m. until gone.

The distribution is only for Village residents. People are required to bring their ID and Proof of residency in the Village.

Skaneateles:

Skaneateles plans to distribute a total of 300 test kits on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Skaneateles Middle School (35 E Street).

It is only open to town and village residents aged 65+. Individuals will be required to bring proof of residency.

Each household will get 1 COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kit, which includes 2 tests per kit.
