State Attorney General Letitia James is taking legal action against former President Donald Trump, claiming that he is in contempt of court due to a failure to produce documents as part of a subpoena served by her office.
James has now filed a motion for contempt in New York County State Supreme Court which seeks a $10,000 daily fine for every day the documents aren’t produced for the court.
James said in a release her office is seeking immediate intervention by the court because, as she puts it, “…no one is above the law.”
