On Sunday, Governor Kathy Hochul reflected on the past week and called it one of the toughest weeks of her life following the Tops Supermarket shooting in Buffalo. Hochul referred to the apparent hate crime as a massacre by a racist, white supremacist who was radicalized online. She says it struck a very personal note because the grocery store is not too far away from where her home is. During an interview on WBLS radio she says the State Attorney General plans to continue to investigate social media companies with services that could aid to disseminate information on the dark corners of the web that could help in the planning or execution of attacks.
