The toe-tapping of dancer Sophia Hatch is a taste of what is to come this weekend. Hatch said she is excited about the festival’s return to put traditional Irish dancing back on stage.

"To see all the people come back together after COVID and just see everybody as a community and let them watch what we've been preparing for," Hatch said.

The two-day event celebrating Irish music and culture kicks off Friday. Event MC John Dalgety said the community played a key role when organizers faced supply chain challenges.

“People have kind of gone out of their way to say 'hey I can help you here' and uh you know, 'let me figure this out, let me see if I can make this work,” Dalgety said.

The help has paid off. The Irish festival takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and goes from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's Parish.
