The following graph shows the voters' party preferences for certain issues.

A new survey from AARP New York reports that voters 50 and older in the state’s new 22nd congressional district are leaning republican.

The likely voters say they favor a generic republican candidate by 54% compared to 36% over a generic Democratic candidate.

AARP New York says their survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 5.4%.

Other findings from the survey include that 90% of voters in that age group say they are extremely motivated to vote this fall and their top concerns are inflation and rising prices.

According to a statement from AARP New York, voters 50 and older made up about 60% of the electorate in the 2018 midterms, and are expected to make up an even larger share in 2022.
