The Onondaga County Health Department says Monkeypox is still active, with a total of four confirmed cases to date in Onondaga County.

However, the department said there is little to no overall risk to the general population. Monkeypox is usually found more specifically in the LGBTQ community.

After a person is exposed, vaccines are available by calling 315-435-3236. Two doses are required; anyone who wants to get vaccinated, regardless if they have symptoms or not, can do so at an upcoming clinic.

The clinic will be at ACR Health, located at 627 Genesee St. in Syracuse, on Friday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. First and second doses will be administered at the clinic.

To register for the clinic and more information visit the Onondaga County Health Department website.
