A third suspect in Brexialee Torres-Ortiz’s murder is now in police custody.

A 16-year-old was arrested Thursday in a town about an hour north of New York City. Authorities announced the arrest of the two other suspects earlier that day.

Syracuse police say the three were part of a drive by shooting that killed 11-year-old Torres-Ortiz earlier this month.

They are charged with second degree murder and second degree possession of a weapon. The three suspects are also facing a second-degree attempted murder charge for wounding a 19-year-old believed to be the target of the shooting.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Syracuse Police at (315) 442-5222.
