A third suspect in Brexialee Torres-Ortiz’s murder is now in police custody.
A 16-year-old was arrested Thursday in a town about an hour north of New York City. Authorities announced the arrest of the two other suspects earlier that day.
Syracuse police say the three were part of a drive by shooting that killed 11-year-old Torres-Ortiz earlier this month.
They are charged with second degree murder and second degree possession of a weapon. The three suspects are also facing a second-degree attempted murder charge for wounding a 19-year-old believed to be the target of the shooting.

A third suspect in this incident was taken into custody in Lincolndale, NY, with the assistance of New York State Police. The suspect was turned over to SPD Homicide Unit Detectives and transported back to Syracuse. The suspect is a 16-year-old male. https://t.co/szr9NcaR0P
