After losing the election for governor to Kathy Hochul, Republican Lee Zeldin will take over as chair of the political action committee (PAC) Leadership America Needs.

The PAC's goal is to reach first time voters, especially from marginalized groups, and encourage them to vote Republican. The PAC will help Republicans running for office connect with voters, according to a press release.

Zeldin and the board of the PAC will look ahead at the upcoming 2024 primary as the first chance to make an impact.
