The Interstate 81 and Interstate 690 interchange runs through Syracuse, NY.

Two northbound Interstate 81 exits to Liverpool will be closing for a couple of months.

As of April 3, drivers who typically use exits 24A and 24B to Old Liverpool Road and Onondaga Lake Parkway from I-81 will need to follow a detour. The detour will have drivers continue north to the next exit, 7th Street, before heading back down on Electronics Parkway to get to Old Liverpool Road, according to the Department of Transportation.

Construction on the exits is meant to update the bridge deck and repair joints.

The DOT asks drivers to be alert through work zones and follow any traffic control devices including posted signs and workers directing traffic.

The latest traffic information on these and other projects can be found at 511.org.
