Le Moyne College and Cazenovia College representative meet to sign the agreement.

Le Moyne College will take over the records of Cazenovia College, according to a news release from Le Moyne.

Cazenovia College will officially close at the end of this school year when the last class graduates in May. Afterward, Le Moyne will keep all student, alumni and human resource records to preserve the legacy of Cazenovia College.

Le Moyne also will dedicate a space on its campus toward Cazenovia College as a part of the agreement between the two schools.

Le Moyne is helping with the transition by establishing a new program to be taught by Cazenovia faculty. Students will also be able to transfer credits with ease and get comparable financial aid.

Linda Lemura, president of Le Moyne, said in a statement the school will welcome Cazenovia students to campus in the fall and will continue to engage Cazenovia alumni in the future.

Low enrollment, debt and COVID-19 were the reasons for Cazenovia’s closure, officials said.
