Police investigate the scene of a July 10th collision involving two Syracuse University students who were killed after an accident with a dump truck.

Police have identified the victims of a dump-truck-pedestrian crash that killed two Syracuse University students as 24-year-old Aoyo Cui and 23-year-old Wanshan Li.

Police say they responded to a call of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on East Adams Street near University Avenue. They found Wanshan Li with severe injuries; she was pronounced dead at the scene. Aoyo Cui had suffered traumatic injuries and was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he later succumbed to those injuries.

Syracuse University officials say the students were studying in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Both were from China, working on master's degrees.

The investigation is ongoing.
