Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley and some of his deputies will meet and greet the public Tuesday evening so residents can get to know the department better. Both the Sheriff’s Department and Syracuse Police will participate in National Night Out, an event to build community-police trust.

The Sheriff’s event will include opportunities to talk with officers, a K-9 demonstration, police and swat vehicles, and live music. Their National Night Out event takes place Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 P-M at Longbranch Park in Liverpool.

Syracuse Police hold their event the same time at Kirk Park. It will include police equipment and vehicles, food and music.
