Central New Yorkers who got hammered by June storms are eligible for federal assistance.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has low interest homes to help homeowners, renters and business owners who need to pay for repairs and replace damaged property.

Homeowners can get loans up to $500,000 to repair their primary residence and homeowners and renters can apply for up to $100,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Business owners are eligible for up to $2 million for property or equipment damage and businesses and non-profits can get up to $2 million for working capital. Home owners or businesses needing assistance should contact the SBA.
