A pedestrian crossing bridge to connect a trail in the wilderness was constructed by SUNY ESF Construction Management students.

SUNY ESF Construction Management students are looking for a local partner in a real Bridge Building project next semester. The client pays for the cost of materials and the students design, build and load-test timber bridges to the customer’s specifications.

“The bridges reflect the pride and attention to detail students bring to meeting client expectations and supporting community needs.” said associate professor of construction Paul Crovella.

The bridge can be ordered from 4’ to 8’ wide and a length between 16’ to 18’. They’re load tested up to 4,000 pounds with a completion date of May 1, 2026. For more information, email Crovella at plcrovella@esf.edu.
