NYS reports 47% increase in road repairs & 19% increase in bridge fixes in 2025

191 miles of roads repaved or repaired, and 419 bridges fixed or replaced in Central New York this past year.

New York says it made significant progress improving roads and bridges in 2025.

The state Department of Transportation reports over 4000 highways were improved, 3700 bridges were either replaced or repaired, and over a million potholes were filled.

Central New York saw 191 lane miles repaved and 419 bridges addressed.

The New York State Department of Transportation and Thruway Authority report a 47% increase to the lane mileage of roadways upgraded or rehabilitated and a 19% increase in the number of bridges repaired or replaced compared to 2024.
