Businesses in Onondaga, Oneida, Madison, Oswego and other Upstate counties can apply for disaster loans for business they lost during extreme weather events in 2015.
The Small Business Administration approved a number of events in which rain, high wind, and icing caused shutdowns or damage for Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
Small firms, agriculture cooperatives, and private not-for-profits can apply. Funds can be used to pay debts incurred because of lost business, payroll, accounts payable or other bills that could not be paid due to disasters.
Loan amounts are up to $2 million, with 4% interest for small businesses, and 3.625% interest for non-profits.
Applications for the EIDLs have to be in by December 21.
