CNY Jazz in the City 2026
CNY Jazz in the City 2026
Syracuse’s urban neighborhoods continue to face chronic public health challenges. Resistance to traditional healthcare is widespread. Vaccination rates are the lowest in the region. Diabetes, hypertension, cancer, infant mortality, and respiratory disease rates are high. Communication with isolated residents lacking computers and transport is difficult. Residents are unaware of health services available to them.
Enter CNY Jazz in the City. This aggressive, community-wide public health outreach effort uses the arts as a mobile platform to bring people together and provide them with the joy of congregating to enjoy music, food, and fun.
These Thursday evening concert fairs span the neighborhoods of urban Syracuse THROUGH June, July, and August, providing safe outdoor environments for all to attend.
Every event provides:
-National and Regional talent in concert
-Healthcare Village
-BIPOC arts, crafts, and corporate vendors
-Ethnic food vendors
-Family goodie bag distribution to all attendees filled with public health service info, supplies, and incentive coupons
-Educational and inspirational speakers
-Special Opening Act performances by resident urban and urban youth groups
