This walking tour will focus on the social history of Baldwinsville, infrastructure of the lock and the barge canal, as well as earlier attempts at improving the Seneca River for transportation. This tour will begin in the Baldwinsville Village Square AKA Baldwin Canal Park, located between the B'ville Diner and the Seneca River. It will include about a half mile of walking.

Experience nature in a unique way on a guided Forest Therapy Walk throughout Baltimore Woods! Forest Therapy, also known as “forest bathing,” stems from a Japanese practice known as Shinrin Yoku. Led by June Leo-Randazzo, a Certified ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, this program invites participants to immerse themselves in nature and open their senses to the surroundings of the forest.
Registrations for this program closes at 3pm on Wednesday, August 13.
More details: This walk is designed for adults. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. You will be notified ahead of the program on where to park and meet on the day of the walk. The walk will take place rain or shine. In case cancellation is necessary due to dangerous conditions, you will be notified by email the morning of the walk. Dress for the weather, this program will be entirely outdoors. Insect repellent and a hat is recommended.

Join the Hart Cluett Museum and the Erie Canal Museum for a guided historic cycling tour of the Erie Canal in Troy. Explore one of the Canal's eastern termini and learn all about the city's exciting brewing history. Experience Erie Canal history by bike, then enjoy a pint from Brown's Brewing Company.

After the success of our first flea market, we’ll be hosting another on Saturday, August 23, from 10am-3pm! We’re clearing out beautiful and historic treasures that deserve a new home, and you never know what gems you might find!
All proceeds go to support The Smith, with any unsold items benefiting The Linden Shop—it’s shopping for a good cause!

This 1-mile-long guided tour between Clinton Square and Fayette Park includes stops at many sites of significant events in the fight for women's rights, with a special focus on Syracuse residents' contributions to the suffrage movement along the Canal. This tour begins in the lobby of the Erie Canal Museum.

Calling all nature-loving bookworms! The Literature & Nature Book Group at Baltimore Woods welcomes you to nourish and enhance your appreciation of the natural world with ongoing friendly discussions of great writing on that theme. Open to all interested adult members of the community, we will meet at the Interpretive Center (or outside if weather permits) one Saturday a month to delve into a reading of fiction or creative nonfiction chosen by participants.
Our next meeting will take place on September 6 from 10:30 AM to Noon when we will be discussing Playground by Richard Powers.
